Completely refurbished in 1998, close to the centre of York, and adjacent to a long stay car park, St Olave's Church Hall is ideal for meetings, lectures, and presentations for those working to a limited budget. The well equipped kitchen makes it equally suited to those wanting to provide a meal, or a full day conference with lunch.
Facilities
The hall has comfortable and flexible seating for up to 80 people, with the option of using tables each seating up to eight. It has a large projection screen, and an overhead projector and 35 mm slide projector are also available. Other equipment can readily be hired. The large kitchen is has a water boiler for hot drinks, a large commercial cooker and a microwave, a refrigerator and dishwasher. Crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided.
Location
The hall is in Marygate Lane, just off Marygate and beside the long stay car park. Close to the river and the ruins of St Mary's Abbey, it is a short walk from the Minster and the city centre. Please click here for a map.
Getting there
For car drivers Marygate car park is easy to find, being just off Bootham (the A19). Some of York's park and ride and scheduled bus services run conveniently close, and the hall is only ten minutes walk from the station.
